Theatre from Scratch
Join this creative and fun-filled class and make a play from scratch! We’ll have games and activities that develop the ingredients needed to build our own original, short theatre piece. Emphasis will be placed on the actors and their ideas, not on costumes, sets, or props. We will learn the elements of storytelling, character development, and basic stage skills in order to craft our final product. While this class will culminate in an invited informal performance of our work, the focus will be on the process of building and inhabiting a story, not on the final product itself.
No class March 24 or April 14.
