The flowers were in full bloom as artist Margaret Dwyer gave a lesson in painting botanicals from the formal gardens in watercolor.
Margaret Dwyer is the 2019 Artist in Residence at the Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park in Woodstock, VT. This residency is made possible by a partnership between ArtisTree and the Park that promotes arts and nature programming throughout the summer and into the fall. Margaret will engage with the public at the Park’s Artist in Residence studio and she will offer free workshops and demonstrations in painting and mixed media during her tenure. Margaret will also lead a Nature-Inspired Watercolor Workshop on Sunday, October 6, from 1-4pm
Delve into the rich colors and details of nature in this fall watercolor workshop. Look closer at the incredible colors and details of fall leaves and learn to capture them with watercolor. Lots of tricks and techniques will be demonstrated. Margaret will have art supplies and other woodland specimens on-hand to work from as well, such as moss, tree bark, stones, butterflies and more. Honor the beauty of the natural world through the artistic process. Ages: All ages welcome!
