Kathleen Fiske
Snow, just fallen, plowed and mounded. Paths through it, blue tree shadows on it. When it's melted, brown earth showing through again. The seasons. The sky. The leafless trees, summer trees, autumn trees. Saplings and ancient trunks, holes all through them. How they hold the ground. And fields. Brown in winter, green and filled with color in summer Sunlight on water. Boats, ripples, waves and rapids. All changing all the time. From season to season, day to day, minute to minute. To capture the ever varied view with freshness and honesty is my biggest challenge and greatest joy. In the moment, alive and aware. Grateful to be witness to God's presence in the created world.
