Gesture Painting: Quick Studies from Photographs
Keep it simple and learn how to gesture paint from your favorite photos. Gesture studies depict the attitudes and body positions of subjects from casual poses in a photograph. Joan will show you how to begin with body shapes, add colors for clothing, skin, and hair, and finish with minimal facial features. Voila! A gesture study. Bring your favorite painting supplies and photos of subjects in casual poses (not portraits). Beginner to experienced painters welcome.
