Acrobatic Arts: Shining Stars

Join us for this fun intermediate-level acrodance class. Acrodance is the beautiful fusion or the artistry of dance and the athleticism of acrobatics. Kaitlyn’s engaging acrobatic arts curriculum is based on safe and effective progressions with proven results in the five divisions of acrodance: flexibility, strength, balancing, limbering, and tumbling. Students entering this class must be already able to push up a bridge, kick up a handstand, and do a cartwheel.The number of students accepted into class will be limited this session to provide for physical distancing in the studio. No class November 11.
Please bring a water bottle (labeled with your name) and a facial covering, and wear one of the following clothing choices:
1. Leotard (dance type) with dancer shorts or capris
2. Close-fitting tank top or t-shirt and athletic shorts
Due to the current pandemic we will take new health and safety precautions. No adults will be permitted in the Artistree building before, during, or after class. Adults will walk their children to and from the third floor movement studio for drop-off and pick-up. Kaitlyn Knapp offers students a rich and engaging experience in her dance and acro dance classroom. Her classes provide a fun atmosphere where children and teens can develop self-discipline, focus, confidence, and lasting friendships. In the process of learning the skills presented, students are transformed into dance artists and well-rounded athletes. Kaitlyn is a graduate of Plymouth State University where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance Management and Instruction, and she is a certified Acrobatic Arts instructor.
